BJÖRN FOLKOW AWARD AND LECTURE
The Björn Folkow Award has been established with the collaboration of AstraZeneca in recognition of the contribution made by Björn Folkow to cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology. The award is given to a person or persons who have carried out important original research on pathogenesis of hypertension.
ALBERTO ZANCHETTI LIFE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The Award is given to a scientist with a lifelong high quality scientific research in the field of hypertension.
LENNART HANSSON MEMORIAL LECTURE
The Lennart Hansson memorial lecture is to be conferred to a scientist who has obtained important results in the field of clinical hypertension and trials.
ESH HONORARY MEMBERSHIP
ESH Honorary Membership is given to scientists who have made extraordinary contributions to research in hypertension or who have given exceptionally important support to the activities of ESH.
TALAL ZEIN AWARD
The Talal Zein Foundation has established the “Talal Zein Award” to be presented annually to a distinguished scientist from a Mediterranean country, in recognition of outstanding work related to basic science, epidemiology, pathophysiology or therapy of hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases.
PAUL MILLIEZ AWARD
The Award is conferred by the French Society of Hypertension to a French scientist acknowledged for his accomplishments in the field of hypertension.
ALBERTO FERRARI POSTER PRIZES
The prizes are dedicated to the late Prof. Alberto Ferrari in recognition of his great contribution to the organization of the ESH meetings in Milan.
Each day, a selected number of posters will be awarded with a prize. Winners will receive notification by email after the end of the meeting. List with names of awardees will be posted online at the end of the ESH 2016 meeting, on the following websites: www.esh2016.org, www.eshonline.org.
